Meet the team

Darren Ilston

Technical Director

Having been instrumental in setting up one of the first internet providers in the UK, in the early 90s. Darren has a wealth of industry knowledge, in 2007, he won the Microsoft Award for outstanding IT professionals.

Joe Connor

Web Dev and Technician

Joe started at MelBek in 2015 straight out of school. He is a self-taught web developer who is also trained as a CompTIA network engineer. He has established diverse skills ranging from technical support, mobile telecommunications, web design and social media marketing.

Melissa Ilston

Administration Manager

Melissa plays an essential role in the day-to-day running of MelBek, planning and coordinating administrative processes and policies. She also develops and implements health and safety policies and oversees accounting.

Chris Pike

Senior Developer

Has over 20 years experience in C, C++, Java, PHP, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, full stack development, and Linux administration. Talented in analysis and getting applications and devices communicating with each other.

Charlie Kavanagh

Broadband Technician

Charlie joined us two years ago to enhance his knowledge on broadband technologies, he rose through the ranks and now leads the construction site broadband installations team, you will still often see him on site.

Richard Ilston

Operations Manager

Richard has been in the IT industry since 1996. He now oversees procurement, operational procedures and is an integral part to our fleet management and maintenance.
